The ladies had an amazing season opener! The girls dominated the dual by winning eight of the ten events. The Medley Relay team of Marissa Kahn (9), Courtney Kobold (10), Allie Kriz (10) and Sam Wobig (10) started off the evening with a winning time of 2:29.59. The second event also proved to be victorious for the Mustangs when Marissa Kahn (9) and Theresa Latch (9) took first and second place finishes. In the final stretch of the meet, Courtney Kobold (9), Bailey Shiller (9) and Reilly Jorgensen (9) took first, second and third place finishes! Way to go ladies!
The boys also used this opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities for the season. The gentlemen found victories in the 200 Free Relay and the 50 yard Breaststroke. The winning team of Mitch Gocke (11), Taylor Gardner (11), Sean St. Clair (9), and Brandon Kahnk (11) finished the 200 Free Relay with a time of 2:05.47. Kahnk went on to take a fist place finish in the Breaststroke with a time of 37.47. The 50 Freestyle proved to be a success for the Mustangs when Mitch Gocke finished first with a time of 29.32 and Brandon Kahnk took second with a time of 29.71. Awesome job guys!
